Continental’s latest-generation all-terrain tyre, the CrossContact A/T², has been introduced in Nepal by Delta Distributors Pvt. Ltd., the sole distributor of Continental Tyres in the country.
Developed for SUVs, 4x4 vehicles and compatible electric SUVs, the CrossContact A/T² is designed to offer a balance between on-road comfort, all-terrain capability, durability and traction across varied surfaces.
The tyre was first launched in India in January 2026, making the market one of the first globally to receive Continental’s next-generation all-terrain product. It has now made its way to Nepal as demand for SUVs, 4x4s and electric SUVs continues to grow.
The CrossContact A/T² has been developed for use across surfaces including gravel, mud, sand, wet roads and rocky terrain. Its tread design features increased tread depth, deeper biting edges and rigid tread blocks, which Continental says are intended to improve handling precision and vehicle stability.
The tyre also gets a high-void tread pattern to help clear mud, water and loose material, while its open shoulder design is aimed at improving self-cleaning and traction in off-road conditions. Reinforced shoulder and sidewall protection further help the tyre withstand impacts from rocks and uneven terrain.
For use on rough surfaces, the tread is also engineered to reduce stone retention and cut-and-chip damage. At the same time, Continental says the tyre has been designed with compatible electric vehicles in mind, taking into consideration factors such as higher vehicle weight, instant torque and the need for quiet operation on paved roads.
For Nepal, where vehicles regularly encounter a mix of highways, broken roads, gravel sections and mountain routes, the CrossContact A/T² adds another all-terrain option for SUV and 4x4 owners looking for a tyre that can handle both daily road use and more demanding terrain.
With its introduction, Delta Distributors is positioning the CrossContact A/T² as an option for Nepal’s growing SUV, 4x4, electric SUV and adventure-driving segment, offering a combination of everyday road manners and off-road capability.
